GlossaryAI for interpreters
How GlossaryAI works for interpreters
See how GlossaryAI turns assignment context and reference materials into a focused interpreter preparation.
1. Start with the assignment
Tell GlossaryAI what you know: the subject, audience, speakers, client, location, language pair and anything you expect to hear. A short description is enough to begin.
Two valid starting points: “International neurology congress” can produce a broad, cautious preparation. A program and slide deck can produce a more source-grounded one. The product does not require you to manufacture context you do not have.
2. Add materials when you have them
Upload agendas, slides, briefings or other reference files. GlossaryAI extracts the readable text and uses it alongside your description. Original uploads are deleted after extraction.
3. Receive a focused preparation
The first preparation produces three things you can use immediately:
- a concise briefing about the assignment;
- preparation notes about audiences, concepts and distinctions worth reviewing;
- a bilingual glossary with translations and explanations.
When source material exists, the initial glossary aims to capture useful terminology found in it and conservatively complement obvious gaps. Without source material, it builds a broader area glossary and avoids presenting invented event details as facts.
4. Review it as a professional
AI gives you a strong first pass, not an unquestionable answer. Check names, preferred client terminology, regional usage and terms that matter especially in your language pair. Edit any glossary entry directly.
5. Expand only where useful
When the initial glossary leaves gaps, ask GlossaryAI to expand the terminology or translate specific terms you expect to encounter. Later calls use the briefing and accumulated glossary, so the preparation remains useful even after the source files are gone.
See the three input situations
- Only an event name or subject area
- More material than you can reasonably review
- A typical brief, agenda and presentation
What it is designed for
GlossaryAI is designed for the practical preparation window before an interpreting assignment: turning scattered context and documents into something you can review, correct and carry into the room.
